When it comes to lipsticks it can be hard for me to decide on favourites. January is the month of the year when I check my make up collection and decide on what to keep and toss.
I noticed I got a lot of lipsticks in red shades and many others. Although it’s cold outside I think we should bring more colour into these days. I wrote down my 5 favourite lipstick shades that help you to stay cheerful this grey month!
Lipstick #1 – MAC Viva Glam V
One of my favourites that I use most of the time! I enjoy wearing it to the office or to meetings. The colour comes out more nude which makes it suitable for everyone. It comes with the great benefit that keeps your lips moisturized all day.
Lipstick #2 – MAC Morange
MAC Morange comes in a bold colour that brings freshness to my face. Whenever I’m looking for a colour that matches my T-Shirt dresses I choose the bright Morange. It’s the perfect lip colour for springs season!
Lipstick #3 – MAC Ruby Woo
The MAC Ruby Woo is just perfect if you’re looking for a sexy red shade with a matt finish. I have to admit though that it may be difficult to apply for the first time because it is very dry. I prefer using a lipbalm underneath followed by a lipliner to fill in the whole lip area.
Lipstick #4 – Artdeco Shiny Strawberry
This One was a Christmas present that I received lately. It has a creamy consistency and doesn’t feel sticky on the lips. I like the glossy finish as the lips appear much bigger than they are usually. I guess I got a new favourite then ;)
Lipstick #5 – MAC Dark Deed “Stroke of Midnight” Edition
This lipstick was part of the limited MAC edition called “Stroke of Midnight”. I’m afraid I have to tell you that it isn’t available anymore. I’m pretty sure MAC is going to release a collection that’s going to be quite similar to this one. This colour is quite bold and I wouldn’t suggest that you buy it if you don’t wear flashy shades very often. This lipstick doesn’t cover very well. Keep that in mind before you start applying. If I can give some advice, fill in your lips with a lipliner completely and you’ll have a much better result.
What Lipliners fit best?
Generally I use three lipliners that go with most of these shades.

Have you discovered your favourite lipstick? What colour would you prefer?
