Blackbird singing in the dead of night,
take these broken wings and learn to fly,
all your life, you were only waiting for this moment to arise.
Oh yes the Beatles…A catchy song that reminds me of my childhood and my days as little bella.
I have always been a little dreamer, letting my imagination run wild and thinking about what’s happening over the hedge out there in the world and if there’s something exciting awaiting me. Actually it’s not one of the most famous songs The Beatles wrote, but somehow there lies a true meaning between the lines.
The Yellow Bird Learns To Fly
A Blackbird might be not the right bird for this season, so lets think about a more brighter colour, yellow like the sun to introduce this pretty dress. It’s one of the dresses that I have for more than three years now and to me it has a very special meaning. It’s not only a dress I got at Zara for about 50 Euro, it’s more the dress that I wore for the first time, when I dropped my last pounds – 5 years ago I had more than 79kg – and the dress that I wore to my first date with my husband. But not only these two reasons make this flared simple dress so special, it’s also telling a little story about the time when I made one of my biggest decisions in life.
I have never thought to one day move out of Austria, honestly. I got used to the area the surroundings and my life here, but with the years I noticed it wasn’t the thing I wanted right now. To cut it down, I’m going to move to London guys! Woohoo! It was quite hard for me to keep this as a secret for months now, not talking to anyone about it expect my husband and family. Last year in November, after a big talk with my hub, I decided to make further steps. I finally found out what I really wanted to do. I tried hard to find something that fulfills me like my blog that challenges me everyday and keeps me inspired and creative for the rest of my life. Doing a job you desire is so important, it keeps your life balanced with happiness and love. These are the keys to success but not only – you’ll also need loads of perseverance.
I enjoy writing and I truly wanted to become a professional to make my passion my business one day. If I hadn’t myself elbowed the way in, I wouldn’t have come that far. It made up my mind and I decided to apply on two major Fashion colleges in London, the Central St. Martin and London College of Fashion, to study Fashion Journalism. The whole process, including flying to interviews to UK twice, writing a bunch of articles, creating a portfolioand taking the IELTS test was no walk in the park. I was quite close to give it all up. Now I’m so happy I got accepted at the London College of Fashion and I couldn’t be more grateful about this major opportunity.

Writing it down, took off a lot of burden I carried with me for more than half a year now. I’m so glad to share this amazing news with you and I can’t wait to get it started in September. There’s still a lot of things to do before I start moving, but I keep you guys up to date.
This weekend is probably one of the best one’s I’ve ever started!
Have a beautiful one <3
